Mission Statement & Behavior Guidelines

This club is formed to promote friendship with other children and to promote good canine citizenship for dogs, and to become better acqainted with the proper training and knowledge to use for training dogs.  Although our speciality is in dog training, obedience, and showmanship, our club is considered multi-purpose.  We have members that show other animals as well as projects without animals.

RULES

  • Treat all members and advisors of clubs with respect.
  • Zero Tolerance of unethical or unsportsmanlike behavior towards others.
  • Treat Animals with kindness and respect.
  • Use proper equipment while training.
  • Proper Shoes; no sandals, no open front or open back shoes; no flip-flops
  • Proper Show clothing when required.
  • NO GUM CHEWING WHILE TRAINING.
  • Keep animals properly vaccinated.
  • 4-H members must attend training sessions.
  • No more than 5 absences will be excused to participate in county fair and skillathon.
  • Member must attend 8 meetings out of 11 to show at county fair. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE YOUR PREMIUMS FOR THAT YEAR.
  • Parents, remember this is your child's 4-H project and their responsibility to learn to train and groom their dog.  You may help them or seek help from an advisor.  PLEASE DO NOT TRAIN OR GROOM THEIR PROJECT FOR THEM.  ESPECIALLY AT A 4-H FUNCTION.
 

  • Each year we will have a fundraiser for our 4-h activities.
  • Non-participation will result in paying your own way.
 

  • Violations will be dealt with by advisors and OSU extension on a case by case as needed.
